New cast details have been dropped for the upcoming Spaceballs film with Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis reprising their roles as Lone Starr and Dark Helmet.

According to Deadline, Keke Palmer will also be joining the film in a yet to be disclosed role.

Pullman’s son and Thunderbolts star Lewis Pullman is reportedly joining as well, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The director of the original film and star Mel Brooks will be coming on to reprise the role of Yogurt.

Set for a theatrical release in 2027, it has been described as, “A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.”

Josh Greenbaum is set to direct with the script from Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad, which was announced in June of last year.

Gad is expected to be starring in the flick and will be producing alongside Brian Grazer and Jeb Brody, Brooks, and Greenbaum from Imagine Entertainment.

Kevin Salter, Adam Merims, Samit, and Hernandez will serve as executive producers.

“Mercenary Lone Starr and his trusty alien sidekick set out to rescue Princess Vespa from the clutches of an evil force commanded by the nefarious Dark Helmet,” reads the synopsis for the original flick from 1987.
