The Beach Boys bandmates broke their silence on record producer Brian Wilson's death and paid an honorary tribute on their social media account.

Following the death announcement from the family of the deceased on Wednesday, June 11, Brian passed away at the age of 82.

The All I Wanna Do composers took to their Instagram account and remembered their band's late co-founder.

They captioned the post, which reads, "The world mourns a genius today, and we grieve for the loss of our cousin, our friend, and our partner in a great musical adventure."

The remaining alive members of the band also stated that Brian was the "soul" of The Beach Boys and that he was more than just a member of the group.

The co-founder, Brian, created melodies and the emotions he infused into every note of the song; he permanently changed music. 

The obituary goes on to say, "His unmatched talent and distinct spirit made the soundtrack of so many lives around the world, including our own."

The post came along with an old photo of Brian, in which he can be spotted wearing an off-white pair of pants along with a full-sleeve T-shirt with stripes in black and white.

The musical group also expressed their true feelings, adding that they are heartbroken to learn about the news of the demise of their lead singer.
