Brian Wilson, the visionary musician behind the rock band Beach Boys, breathed his final breath at the age of 82.
The Beach Boys' bass guitarist's family took to his social media account to share the news of his demise with his listeners.
On Wednesday, 11 June, the family of the deceased uploaded the obituary along with an image, in which Brian can be spotted sitting on a bench, sporting an orange short-sleeve polo on Instagram.
The God Only Knows song hitmaker's loved ones captioned the post, “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away.”
“We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving,” the note continued.
Meanwhile, they concluded the tribute by stating, “We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy.”
For those unversed, since 2024, the record producer had been suffering from cognitive dysfunction. After the death of the songwriter's wife, Melinda, his children took over his legal affairs.
The American boy band The Beach Boys, founded in 1961, included members Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and David Marks, of whom Brian, Dennis, and Carl have passed away.
