Nicole Scherzinger, who played the beloved character Norma Desmond in the musical Sunset Boulevard, has just won her first ever Tony Award.

The Don't Hold Your Breath singer scored the win in the esteemed category for Best Actress in a Musical for her Broadway debut.

The 46-year-old had also performed As If We Never Said Goodbye from the play before she left her competitors, namely, Megan Hilty, Audra McDonald, Jennifer Simard and Jasmine Amy Rogers behind.

Nicole then proceeded to give an emotional, gratitude-filled speech through tears, beginning with "I just have to thank God for carrying me every step of the way. I give you all the glory."

She also thanked her mother, who gave birth to her when she was just 18, as well as her father, sister and her entire family before acknowledging the Tony Awards "for making this little Hawaiian-Ukrainian-Filipino girl's dream come true."

The Annie Live! Star also addressed the audience, saying, "Growing up, I always felt like I didn't belong, but you all have made me feel like I belong and I have come home at last," she then encouraged listeners to believe in themselves and keep giving.

Nicole concluded her speech by leaving the audience with a powerful message, love always wins.
