‘King of Hill’ voice actor Jonathan Joss shot dead at 59
American voice-over actor Jonathan from ‘King of Hill’ sadly passed away at the age of 59
Jonathan Joss, who is known for his voice over in King of Hill, tragically passed away after being shot on June 1, 2025.
According to the police reports, the Parks and Recreation star got into a dispute with his neighbour who opened fire at him.
Following his arrest by the law enforcement officers, the accused was charged with murder soon after the incident.
The cause of altercation, which took place in San Antonio’s southern side, is yet to be known.
A close family member took to Facebook to call Jonathan a victim of “hate crimes.” The post alleged that he yelled at the late actor and “then raised a gun from his lap and fired.”
The officials assured in a statement: “Should any new evidence come to light, we will charge the suspect accordingly.”
The Almost Heroes star was notable for portraying Native characters during his nearly 30-year-long career in the entertainment industry.
In the infamous sitcom, he voiced the animated character of John Redcorn for 34 episodes of the series that ran through 1997 to 2009.
Who will voice John in King of Hill?
Jonathan was all set to revive the role in the upcoming reboot of the animated show which will be available on Hulu for streaming.
The Tulsa King actor had already dubbed the dialogues of John in the upcoming season 14 of the drama before his untimely death. He will be heard in Episode 2 of the instalment.
