The two took their fans by surprise after they were spotted together in several photos.
According to a source that spoke to RadarOnline, they came together in order to not let Miley’s godmother, Dolly Parton down.
The iconic singer reportedly told the pair that she “doesn’t want to go to her grave while they are still feuding.”
The insider claimed that Billy and Miley are “building on their relationship.”
The two allegedly had a falling out after his divorce from his wife of 28 years and Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus.
The source further told the outlet, “Billy Ray and Miley say life is too short to stay mad at people.”
Although right now they are taking “baby steps,” they are “talking and getting closer, and the love is there.”
In her Instagram story, Miley admitted, “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years.”
However, the singer noted that now her family takes “priority above all else.”
She added, “I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”
