Tom Troupe, a veteran Hollywood actor, passed away at the age of 97 on Sunday, confirmed by his family.
As per Hollywood Reporter, the star died in his Beverly Hills home from natural causes, just five days after his birthday, leaving behind son, Christopher Troupe, his wife, Betty Coulter and their children.
Troupe was known for his beloved characters in the original TV run of Star Trek (Lt. Harold) and the Mission: Impossible (1966) series as David Day.
Notably, he served in the Korean War and was awarded a Bronze Star for his services. After the war, Troupe made his Broadway debut as Peter van Daan in 1957's The Diary of Anne Frank.
He co-starred with his wife, Carole Cook, in productions of The Gin Game, The Lion in Winter and Fathers Day.
On the professional front, the 97-year-old actor also appeared in the Mark Harmon-starring 1987 comedy Summer School, 1970s Kelly’s Heroes and the 1968 war drama The Devil’s Brigade with William Holden.
His first marriage was to Sally Singer, which ended in divorce after the birth of his son, Christopher Troupe.
Tom Troupe married Carole Cook (Sixteen Candles) in 1964. Their marriage lasted 59 years, till Cook’s death from heart failure in 2023.
