Euphoria actress Hunter Schafer is being eyed for the role of the titular character in The Legend of Zelda adaptation, according to a report from DanielRPK.
Coming from Wes Ball, the actress was fan casted as the character as soon as the adaptation was announced.
Since rising to fame through the HBO show, Schafer has starred in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Kinds of Kindness as well as the horror flick, Cuckoo.
She is also set to star in the upcoming Blade Runner 2099 movie.
Although fans of the game are confused as to which storyline will be adapted, Ball previously said, "I have this awesome idea. I’ve been thinking about it for a long freakin’ time, of how cool a Zelda movie would be... I want to fulfill people’s greatest desires. I know it’s important, this [Zelda] franchise, to people and I want it to be a serious movie. A real movie that can give people an escape."
“The series centers on the various incarnations of Link, a courageous young man of the elf-like Hylian race, and Princess Zelda, a princess within the bloodline of the goddess Hylia, as they fight to save the land of Hyrule from Ganon, an evil warlord turned demon king, who is the principal antagonist of the series,” reads the synopsis of the game.
