Jenna Ortega rose to fame with Netflix’s Wednesday as the morbid, emotionally reserved child, Wednesday Addams.
The actress will return to play the role in the season 2 of the show later this year.
The actress has opened up about her feelings while filming for the iconic role and how she dealt with the fame that followed.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress said “To be quite frank, after the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person.”
Jenna said that as she was introverted, the attention was “scary” and intense”.
The show became Netflix’s most-watched show in 2022, surpassing the Stranger Things and amassed 400 million hours viewed in just the first seven days of release.
The 22-year-old said it is “annoying” because no one takes her seriously.
“You know, it’s like how you’re dressed in the schoolgirl costume. There’s just something about it that’s very patronising.”.
The second season of Wednesday will be released in two parts, first on August 6 and second on September 3, this year.
