Billy Joel's former partner opens up about singer's health struggle

Billy Joel’s ex-partner Christie Brinkley proved that the former couple is on good terms with each other.

Brinkley showed support for the 76-year-old pianist's health and wished him a "full and speedy recovery" and a return to performing again.

On Friday, the Piano Man singer opened up on his Instagram to share a health update that led him to pause his forthcoming concerts.

The musician revealed that he’s dealing with a severe brain disease called normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which causes him difficulty with their ability to balance, hearing and vision.

The pair split in 1994 and the 71-year-old actress shared an emotional note after hearing about his disease.

In addition, the Billy Joel: Uptown Girl actress posted an old photo from the singer's latest concert, along with a clip of their only daughter with Joel.

She recorded her daughter's energetic dance moves and bright smile while the Honesty songwriter and his band took the stage.

The American model penned, "Dear Billy, The whole Brinkley gang is sending you lots of love and good wishes for a full and speedy recovery."

"I was looking for some cute photos of you and Alexa to send you, when I came across this clip from a recent concert," the actress continued.

She wrapped up the post by urging him to take care of himself and they want him back on stage. He will always be their Piano Man and they miss his music.
