Severance star Tramell Tillman sat down for an interview where he opened up about working on the newest installment in the action franchise, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
The 39-year-old actor portrays a secret U.S. submarine captain, Captain Bledsoe in the flick.
Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Tillman shared that the director Christopher McQuarrie casted him in the movie since he was “a big fan of Severance”.
He added that while he was in a Zoom meeting with McQuarrie, the director discussed the new film as well as the vacant role.
Tillman then recalled asking, “I said, 'Well, what do we do from here? What's the deal?' He said, 'You think about it, and if you want to take the role, it's yours.'"
Tillman’s character plays a pivotal role in Ethan Hunt's mission of stopping the artificial intelligence power, Entity, in the movie.
Explaining that most of his scenes were with Cruise, he admitted in another interview that he “was just hoping that I didn’t mess it up."
"Tom is such a wonderful scene partner and he creates a really safe environment for me to do what I need to do and other actors as well.” Tillman continued, “So it was a delight to work with him."
