After the high-profile feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar from last year, hip-hop fans might be witnessing the beginning of another rivalry with much higher stakes.
East Coast rapper Joey Bada$$ released a scathing diss track on Monday evening that took aim at prominent West Coast artists like Ray Vaughn and Lamar.
The track is titled My Town, in which the 30-year-old rapped, “I’m the real boogeyman, y’all n****s should be afraid/ Get the general, I’m killing his troops.”
He later continued, “Don’t make me Pulitzer, better be wise because/ I’m dottin T’s and cross your eyes like Whitaker.”
This comes after Joey challenged the Compton native to a rap battle in the song THE FINALS which came out on May 15.
So far, K.Dot has not responded to the apparent shade and some speculate that he might let it slide this time after his brutal beef with Drizzy.
Lamar and SZA are currently co-headlining the Grand National Tour, which was announced last December to further promote the 37-year-old’s Grammy-winning album, GNX.
The all-stadium tour consists of 39 performances across North America and Europe, with the first show held in Minneapolis on April 19 and the last in Stockholm on June 18.
Born in Brooklyn, New York City, Joey Bada$$ is known for albums like B4.Da.$$ (2015) and All-Amerikkkan Bada** (2017). He also starred in the psychological thriller series Mr. Robot.
