Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson reflect on parenthood at Cannes

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star as new parents in Die, My Love, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

At the press conference on Sunday, the couple, who had an incident on the red carpet before the psychological thriller’s screening on Saturday, talked candidly about how parents have impacted their work.

In March 2024, 39-year-old Pattinson and his 33-year-old partner Suki Waterhouse welcomed a daughter.

He informed reporters, “I think, in the most unexpected way, having a baby gives you the biggest trove of energy and inspiration afterward. It’s a different kind of energy.”

Lawrence, 34, who has a newborn and a three-year-old son named Cy, and is married to Cooke Maroney, concurred.

She stated, “Having children changes everything. It changes your whole life. It’s brutal and incredible.”

The Oscar winner said that they consider every decision about whether she’s working, where she’s working, and when she’s working, and that they've taught her a lot.
