Jamie Lee Curtis revealed sweet details of her bond with Lindsay Lohan, as the two are set to reunite on-screen for the sequel for Freaky Friday.
The Halloween star noted that it was a snap of the two catching up after the Mean Girls alum had her first child with husband Bader Shammas, that sent netizens into a frenzy, and inspired her to pitch the idea of Freakier Friday.
Curtis told People on May 12,” "Lindsay was 15, and as she's matured, we've stayed in contact our whole lives."
She went on to explain that she wanted the child actress to realise that their connection was genuine, so she made an effort to act upon her intentions.
“There's R-E-E-L life, and then there's R-E-A-L life, I wanted her to understand that there was a bridge and that I was real, and that she always could be real with me. And she was," Curtis stated.
After enjoying their real-life bond for a whopping 22 years, the pair are now reuniting in the reel life for the sequel to the film that started it all.
Freakier Friday is slated for release on August 8, 2025. The movie follows Tess and Anna after a time skip in which they discover that lightning may indeed strike twice.
