Chris Brown returns to stage in Nashville days after guilty plea

Chris Brown returned to the stage in Nashville on Saturday night, performing for thousands of fans just one day after pleading guilty to affray in connection with a 2023 nightclub assault in London. 

The Grammy-winning singer appeared unfazed by the legal proceedings as he resumed his Breezy Bowl XX world tour.

The 37-year-old entertainer took to the stage at Nissan Stadium, where he delivered a high-energy set featuring many of his biggest hits. 

According to Daily Mail, videos shared online showed Brown dancing, interacting with the crowd and thanking fans for their continued support throughout the performance.

Brown's concert came less than 24 hours after he appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London, where he pleaded guilty to affray over an incident involving music producer Abraham Diaw at Tape nightclub in February 2023. 

Moreover, prosecutors alleged Brown struck Diaw with a tequila bottle before the confrontation escalated. 

As per the outlet, more serious charges, including grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, were dropped following the guilty plea.

Brown's co-defendant and longtime associate Omololu Akinlolu, known professionally as HoodyBaby, also pleaded guilty to affray. 

Both men are scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 26, with the offense carrying a maximum prison sentence of three years under UK law.

Brown was previously arrested in the UK in 2025 after returning to the country for the first time since the incident. 

Furthermore, he was later granted bail after posting a £5 million security payment, allowing him to continue his international tour.

Despite the ongoing legal case, fans in Nashville greeted the singer enthusiastically, cheering throughout the concert as he continued his scheduled performances across North America.
