Meghan Markle’s "biggest problem" when marrying Prince Harry has been revealed by insiders who claim she never fully understood the weight and complexity of life within the royal family.
As tensions between the Sussexes and the Firm continue, a source told OK! Magazine that Meghan’s struggles were rooted in not grasping "the gravitas" of royal life.
"One of Meghan’s biggest issues was that she never fully understood the gravitas of what it means to be marrying into the Firm," the insider said. "She didn’t necessarily understand the rules and how it operates."
The source added that family disputes within the monarchy are far more serious than typical family arguments, suggesting that "the door for reconciliation is probably closed now for future generations too."
"What happened with her dad, for example, was different," the insider said. "She doesn’t necessarily see why it’s so hard for Harry to just draw a line under things and move on."
They concluded that Meghan will need to recognize the depth of Harry’s pain. "She loves him deeply and wouldn’t want to see him hurting, so she’s going to have to understand the pain he’s in and focus on him for a while," the source shared.
Since the start of 2025, Meghan has been busy with major projects, including relaunching her lifestyle brand as As Ever, launching her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, and debuting a new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
Meanwhile, Harry has been dealing with the emotional fallout from his court defeat regarding his family's UK security, culminating in a bombshell interview with the BBC.
