Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial: family comes to court amid opening statements

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ family made an appearance at the courthouse in downtown Manhattan as opening statements began to take place for his sex trafficking trial.

Members of his family who made appearances included his sons Justin and Christian Combs, and Quincy Brown, as well as his daughters Chance Combs and twins, D'Lila and Jessie Combs. Finally, his mother Janice Combs also joined the children.

The American rapper is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, with his indictment having taken place in September, pleading not guilty.

Casandra "Cassie" Ventura will be testifying under her own name in court, being one of the many stars potential jurors were questioned about during selection.

She is mentioned in the indictment as a victim of an assault that took place in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

Potential jurors were also questioned about other celebrities such as Kanye West, Michael B. Jordan, Mike Myers, and Kid Cudi, however this does not confirm whether they will be appearing in court to testify.

Insiders that spoke to People have claimed that Jordan will not be called to testify.
