Season 3 of 'Squid Game' comes with a massive twist
Squid Game’s new teaser created suspense among its viewers as they caught a major hint in this first look of the finale.
A minute long video continues the story of the last season with new dark and thrilling games that the players are offered to play.
The preview was shared to social media platforms, including the thriller’s official Instagram page.
Observant fans were quick to notice a hint that was added at the end of the twisted clip which was a sound of a baby crying.
As the watchers know, a female contestant Kim Jun-Hee (player 222), played by Jo Yu-ri, was pregnant and was taken care by other leads including the front man and Seong Gi-hun.
One of the users pointed out that “the baby, she’s giving birth yall.” However, another got emotional with “THE BABY NOISE AT THE END.”
A third one speculated about the mother-to-be: “We all knew it’s she’s giving birth in the middle of one of the game or sum.”
The ending of the previous season seemed like a dead end when the participants started a revolutionary movement against the guards on a deserted island. The particular move led to the arrest of the lead and other supporters.
However, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the mastermind behind the story, has brought a new twist, making it clear that the games could not be halted by any means.
It is also apparent that the competition is fair as Gi-hun was not killed for standing against them. He was instead brought back to compete among others.
The second season of Squid Game made history with approximately 68 million views in four days on Netflix. In 2021, the show became the most watched with more than 260 million views on the streaming giant.
The platform has officially announced that the much-anticipated final instalment of the series is scheduled to release on June 27, 2025.
What is the plot of Squid Game?
The TV drama revolves around 456 players who are burdened by heavy debts. They are assembled and are given another chance at life. The players are offered to play deadly versions of children games with a possibility of winning huge cash prize.
