9 young stars from your childhood who are now parents

When asked to name a few, anyone can easily recall their favourite shows from childhood and teenage years. From TV series like iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place to movies like Matilda and The Karate Kid, our youth is defined by some of the characters we used to look up to.

Recollecting about the characters, we are reminded of the cute baby faces as fresh as a daisy. However, to our surprise, the child actors aren’t that little anymore as many are proud parents, cherishing little worlds of their own.

Below are listed some of the young stars who shone bright on our screens but are now all grown up with their own children:

1. Daniel Radcliffe known for Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe, who ruled the Wizarding world with a single flick of his wand in the Harry Potter series, was blessed with a baby boy on April 2023. He and his flame Erin Darke have been spotted several times fulfilling parent duties as they pushed baby stroller across the streets.

2. Joe Jonas known for Camp Rock

Joe Jonas, popular among teenagers for Disney’s Camp Rock, rocked the world in 2020 with the news of a newborn as he and his ex-wife Sophie Turner celebrated their first daughter Willa. Two years later, the former couple were blessed with another little princess Delphine.

3. Rupert Grint known for Harry Potter

Rupert Grint, a loyal friend of Harry Potter in the movie, became a responsible father of his second offspring on April 27, 2025. He and his girlfriend Georgia Groome named the new addition to the family Goldie G. Grint. Their first daughter was bestowed with a magical name Wednesday, inspired by The Addams Family.

4. Lindsay Lohan known for Freaky Friday

Lindsay Lohan, who switched bodies with her mother in Freaky Friday, is now actually a mother herself. Lindsay and her husband Bader Shammas were on cloud nine when they had a son Luai Shammas in July 2023.

5. Macaulay Culkin & Brenda Song

A crazy crossover happened when Macaulay Culkin, the mischievous little kid from the Home Alone series, married and had two sons with Brenda Song from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Born with a difference, the sweethearts named their older son Dakota, while their second baby boy Carson.

6. Josh Peck from Drake & Josh

Josh Peck, the nerdy stepbrother Josh Nichols from Drake & Josh, and his wife Paige O’Brien are expecting their third child. The couple are already bringing up their two sons: Max Milo Peck, 6 and Shai Miller Peck, 2.

7. Kirsten Dunst from Interview with the Vampire

Kirsten Dunst, prominent for her breakthrough role as Claudia in Interview with the Vampire, opened up about her desire to become a mom in 2017. Her wish soon became a reality when the actress and her husband transitioned into parenthood after having two sons: Ennis in 2018 and James in 2021.

8. Emma Roberts from Unfabulous

Emma Roberts rose to fame with her lead role in Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous. The fabulous star is all grown up and is a proud mother of a son Rhodes Robert Hedlund, whom she welcomed with her ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund.

9. Nathan Kress from iCarly

Nathan Kress was a teen heartthrob who played Freddie Benson on iCarly (2007-2012). In 2023, he gave a “rapid fire update,” announcing that he and his wife London Elise Kress are now parents to a son Lincoln William after two beautiful daughters: Rosie Carolyn and Evie Elise.
