The editor in chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour sat down for an interview on Good Morning America where she spoke up about the rumour that every outfit at the MET Gala must be approved by her.
"No," said the 75 year old while laughing.
"Many call and ask our advice, so we try and help some of them as best we can. Some, no idea,” she continued.
The theme for this year’s event is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, with attendees being required to adhere to the dress code of Tailored for You.
The co-chairs for this year include Colman Domingo, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams as well as honorary chair LeBron James.
"Colman Domingo said he'd text you a photo of what he was wearing," said the host to Wintour, adding, "He said he quote 'died' with the response when you told him it was a 'work of art.'"
"It was his idea. It was a clever idea," agreed the editor.
She also revealed that she is yet to see F1 driver Hamilton's outfit, "Lewis, I'm not sure I entirely believe him, says he doesn't have a picture, but it's great.”
