The newest flick from Marvel Studios is Thunderbolts, and it is being flooded with positive reviews from critics.
After a few sluggish years for the studio since the release of Avengers: Endgame, it has been claimed that this is their best project in a long time.
“Ensnared in a death trap, an unconventional team of antiheroes -- Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker -- embarks on a dangerous mission that forces them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts,” reads the synopsis for the flick.
It boasts a star studded cast including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Encouraged by the reviews, fans took to social media to express their anticipation as one fan exclaimed, “can't tell you how excited I am to see my favourite character Taskmaster in the hit movie Thunderbolts in a few days.”
While others added, “Thunderbolts is the first marvel film I have been excited for in years,” and, “actually so excited for thunderbolts, long time since a marvel project got me like this beforehand.”
Early viewers gushed over the project, with one user praising Florence Pugh, “florence pugh’s performance is being singled out in every single thunderbolts review. that’s my baby and I’m PROUD.”
Others remarked on the scenes within the movie, saying, “There's a scene in THUNDERBOLTS between Yelena and Red Guardian that is so emotionally powerful it sent chills down my body. I don't recall a Marvel film that tackles loneliness and inner struggle as bravely and beautifully as #Thunderbolts.”
“This film is EVERYTHING. The plot, action sequences, and emotional impact was incredible. I laughed and cried a LOT. Florence Pugh delivers a powerful performance (as always) This film resonated with me so deeply and i dont think im gonna get over it #Thunderbolts* is PEAK MCU,” added another reviewer.
