Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is finishing off an epic April in grand fashion.
Earlier this month, the rapper went on to DJ Akademiks and Digital Nas’ live streams where he played some sick beats, wore offensive garbs, and made startling revelations.
The appearances were part of Ye’s promotional strategy for his upcoming album CUCK, which was originally named WW3.
On April 28, the Stronger singer revealed the official track listing of CUCK, which contains some offensive titles.
And of course, Ye continued making controversial posts on X, formerly Twitter, dissing Kendrick Lamar and revealing that he intends to wear a Ku Klux Klan-inspired outfit at the 2025 Met Gala.
Which brings us to the evening of April 29, when Ye gave his fans a long-awaited treat, as the artist dropped Donda 2 on various streaming platforms.
The album is the sequel to 2021’s Donda and was first teased by the artist back in 2022, who also shared that the project will be produced by Future.
Donda 2 was initially released shortly after that tease, and its latest iteration contains many of the original tracks with different titles.
The release of Ye's latest album marks another instance of him spontaneously releasing his music.
The 47-year-old unexpectedly dropped Bully back in March, although it has since been removed from social media platforms.
Rapper Future makes several cameos in multiple tracks of Ye’s latest album. The 41-year-old artist appears in songs like Happy, 5:30, and Mr. Miagi.
