Jason Isaacs, who is known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, opened up about his latest course of action ahead of upcoming HBO reboot series.

The 61-year-old actor revealed that he is seizing every opportunity to talk about the character he portrayed in the fantasy films.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Isaacs admitted that he is milking this “cause this time next year, there’s gonna be another Lucius Malfoy.”

The White Lotus star said that he is going “to be fantastic” but “I’ll be long forgotten.”

However, the Fury star clarified that he did not pass these remarks due to arrogance or to "fish compliments." He explained: “I’m just saying they are making the TV series, and it will be brilliant.”

In the infamous series, the Archie lead played the father of young Draco Malfoy, who was the adversary of Harry Potter.

The movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling also featured Daniel Radcliffe, Ron Weasley and Harmione Granger.

Each season of the HBO show, announced by Warner Bros. Discovery in April 2023, will be reportedly based on one of Rowling’s books.

The fans of the fantasy universe are eagerly waiting to know the new lead cast of the drama. It has not been confirmed if any original lead from the blockbuster film franchise will appear on the upcoming project.

When is HBO’s Harry Potter releasing?

Although the series is releasing on HBO in 2026, the exact date has not been confirmed. The filming is expected to start in this year’s summer.
