Elizabeth Hurley has been swooning over Billy Ray Cyrus on her social media platforms while the Romeo singer had maintained radio silence about their romance, until now.
Billy revealed shocking details about how they first reconnected two years after the premiere of Christmas in Paradise, a movie the couple had co-starred in.
He began by noting that their friendship rekindled while he was going through his third divorce.
The Achy Breaky Heart crooner was parting ways with Firerose in 2024, when he received a message from an unknown number.
"Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner," was the sentient of the message, Billy, 63, told on The Ty Bentil Show.
He recalled his response, "So, I text back, I go, 'Who is this?' And it’s like, 'Elizabeth Hurley.' Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh."
Billy then went on to detail that him and Elizabeth, 59, hadn’t spoken to each other since they wrapped up their first project together.
The Some Gave All crooner stated that "there was a chemistry" between them, even though they had "very few scenes together."
The pair would frequently make each other laugh which, according to him, is the key to making it through everything.
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus officially announced that they were dating after Elizabeth posted a picture of the couple celebrating Easter together.
