The film will be based on Volume 6, which is the final part of her teen-drama novel series, which is yet to be released.

The upcoming movie will start filming this summer with Nick Nelson, played by Kit Connor, and Charlie Spring, played by Joe Locke, who are also the film's executive producers.

Like the fans, the graphic novelist and the writer of the series, Alice Oseman, shares her excitement to bring the story to an end.

“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Oseman says.

The novelist continued, “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”

In season 3, the audience witnessed Nick, Charlie, and many of their friends level up their relationships. The film's story will be set right after this.
