Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 following charges of sexual assault, trafficking, racketeering and violence, is set to face the court in May.
The disgraced rapper, who is currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, was slammed with more charges, which he has denied, weeks before the courtroom trial.
One of the rapper’s alleged victims is his former partner Cassie Venture, who was being termed as the center figure of the case.
Diddy’s legal team have filed a motion to exclude Cassie from the case, according to The Variety.
The motion includes the exclusion of the video, that was previously alleged by Diddy’s team to be altered.
The video, that dates back to 2016, shows the rapper beating and dragging his partner Cassie across a hotel lobby of the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
Cassie is expected to testify in court under her real identity while Diddy’s other alleged victims will remain anonymous.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Cassie Ventura ended their decade-long on-and-off relationship in 2018.
