Katy Perry made history by becoming the first pop star to go to space along with becoming the part of the first ever all-women crew to fly to space.
The singer sang Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World while the vessel was in space and later also revealed the set list for her upcoming tour Lifetimes.
On her return, the pop icon kissed the ground after exiting the spacecraft and said “I feel super connected to love, so connected to love”.
The Roar singer also revealed that she will make music based on this trip that inspired her to write a song about the entire experience.
Katy also took a daisy with her in honour of her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, who she co–parents with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
“I think this experience has shown me you never know how much love is inside of you, like how much love you have to give and how loved you are until the day you launch.”
Blue Horizon has not disclosed the exact amount for a ticket to space however it was reported that a deposit of $150,000 is to be collected by each of the crew members to begin the process. The company’s competitors charge between $200,000 to $400,000.
