Benny Blanco prioritises Selena Gomez over his own special day

Benny Blanco proved to be the most thoughtful partner ever, as he considered fiancée Selena Gomez while planning his birthday on March 8.

The Love Yourself songwriter, who collaborated with Justin Bieber on the 2015 hit, revealed that the theme for his 37th birthday bash was prom, since Selena had never attended one before.

Benny then went on to inform Jennifer Hudson on her eponymous Jennifer Hudson Show that he was a serial prom-goer, as the latest celebration was his third time taking part in the prom experience.

“One time I went with a friend, like we went in a friend group, and then one time I went with a girlfriend, but really, honestly, my favorite prom was with my partner,” the I Said I Love You First collaborator told on April 7.

Benny’s confession caused the audience to let out a collective “aww” after he has already won over fans by his consistent admiration of Selena since they got engaged in December of 2024.

The Calm Down singer was anxious prior to the occasion, however, as Benny noted, “She didn’t even know, she was like, ‘What am I supposed to wear? What am I supposed to do?! It was like she was really going to prom.”

The Bad Decisions producer also excitedly mentioned that he even “got her a corsage” as part of the long-standing prom traditions.
