Taylor Swift is reportedly Invisible to a poet who wants to present her with a lawsuit, claiming $30 million in damages.
Kimberly Marasco is facing "extreme difficulties" when it comes to serving papers to the Untouchable singer, whom she is suing for copyright infringement claims for a second time.
The motion was filed for once more on Monday, 7 April, after previously being dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon in December of last year, because the documents weren’t served in a timely manner, as per Newsweek.
Although Taylor herself was considered exempt from the legal proceedings, her production company Taylor Swift Productions, has not been dismissed.
Kimberly alleges that the 14-time Grammy winner replicated her poetry and visuals over the course of multiple albums, namely Lover, Folklore, Midnights, and the most recent, The Tortured Poets Department.
The suit maintains that there are “substantial similarities” between Kimberly’s formerly published poems and Taylor’s later releases, however, exact details of the overlap have not been disclosed yet.
Kimberley, author of two poetry books, has also consulted the court for the window of time in which she has to reach the Guilty as Sin? singer to avoid the lawsuit being dismissed again.
Notably, Taylor, who is named alongside songwriters Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, has been difficult to track as she been laying low with boyfriend Travis Kelce.
