Slim Thug breaks silence after penthouse burglary
The rapper gave a rather subdued response after his Houston apartment was burglarised
Slim Thug isn’t too happy about what went down in his home on a quiet Monday evening.
The rapper’s apartment in Downtown Houston was burglarised on March 7 around 11PM when he was away.
According to the Houston Police Department, the burglary was discovered by security personnel at the apartment complex after noticing that Thug’s front door was open. The personnel then called the police, who spoke to the artist over the phone.
The authorities shared with news outlets that the thieves took an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery from Thug’s pad and that the investigation is currently open.
The 44-year-old took to social media the next day to share a rather calm response to the incident.
“How the f**k did they get in the penthouse is what I wanna know. The penthouse, y'all can have a fall from my floor,” Thug expressed his disbelief.
The Boss Life hitmaker also revealed that he is covered with insurance but it would not cover all of the stolen items.
“I had insurance, but not enough for all my shit. I had too much shit to cover all my shit. The money be 10,000 of money on insurance,” Thug said while smoking a joint.
The singer also revealed that he got CCTV footage of the crime and would not pursue charges against the suspects. However, Thug did share his frustration over the incident by saying, “it's still some and it's some slick s**t.”
He singled out one stolen item that made him upset. “They stole the sugar baby flowers. They could stop. They could stop the sugar baby flower,” the hip-hop veteran said.
Thug has lately been off the radar with the rapper last making the news when he defended Jay-Z in the sexual abuse scandal.
