Elton John’s deteriorating health affects family life

British legend Sir Elton John has two sons, Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 12, with husband David Furnish.

The singer shared that he contracted a severe eye infection last year that left him blind in the right eye and affected his vision in the left eye.

The illness has now damaged the singer’s vision in a manner that he cannot read, watch TV or see his sons play sports.

“I can see you, but I can’t see TV; I can’t read. I can’t see my boys playing rugby and soccer”, said the legend to The Times.

‘And it has been a very stressful time because I’m used to soaking it all up.’ he expressed how stressed the vision issues have made him.

‘There have been days I’ve been miserable, but then I think about how lucky I am,’ said the musician expressing his gratitude for all the blessings he has, specially his family.

Elton John has been open about his struggle with drugs and multiple time he has advised the youth to never do drugs.
