Buckingham Palace shares Queen Camilla's emotional message

Royal family shared a key update from Queen Camilla's meaningful royal engagement during a visit to Northern Ireland with King Charles. 

The Queen met with domestic abuse survivors and people who are working wholeheartedly to support them at Hillsborough Castle. 

As per a heartbreaking statement released by Buckingham Palace, "The @PoliceService.NI receive a report of domestic abuse every 16 minutes and a sexual offence every 2 hours."

"This afternoon at Hillsborough Castle, The Queen convened survivors, and those who work to support them, from across Northern Ireland."

It is important to note that Queen Camilla is an advocate for women's rights.

Recently, she was featured in a documentary titled, Her Majesty the Queen: Behind Closed Doors, to raise awareness about shocking cases of violence against women. 

“One of the most difficult things about domestic abuse to understand — it’s not the bruises and the black eyes, which, unfortunately, you see, through violence, this is something that creeps up very slowly and, far too often, it ends up with women being killed," Queen Camilla said in the TV project.
