Taylor Swift was unknown to Benson Boone before Eras Tour
Benson Boone opened for Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour last year, but was quite unfamiliar with the Fearless singer.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the 22-year-old shared the details of his remarkable story about how he got to open the highest grossing tour of all time.
“I didn’t even know much about her,” Boone proclaimed.
The Slow It Down singer continued, “Her team reached out, and I literally, like, s— my pants. I could not believe it. It was insane, so I started listening to more of her music. I didn’t want to go to that show and not know anything.”
However, the rising star is now on his journey to become a true swiftie, as he gushed about his experience meeting the American superstar.
He noted that the 35-year-old singer "is an unbelievable performer and has an unbelievable world built around her that is unmatched.”
The 22-year-old exclaimed about the gigantic show, "just countless moving parts behind the scenes that nobody knows about.
Boone reflected on the popstar's nature: "She is one of a kind. Such a genuine person. I got the privilege to talk to her, for a while, and she’s so kind.”
The singer has reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 with his single Beautiful Things, which he also performed at the 2025 Grammys.
