Florence Pugh recalls ‘awkward’ moment from 'Oppenheimer' set

Florence Pugh recalled an awkward moment from the set of Oppenheimer.

During a Universal panel discussion, the 28-year-old actress revealed that the camera broke 'in the middle of her sex scene' with Cillian Murphy for Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-nominated film.

“In the middle of our sex scene, the camera broke,” Florence said, adding, “No one knows this, but it did. Our camera broke when we were both naked, and it was not an ideal timing.”

She further explained, “Cillian and I are in this room together. It’s a closed set, so we’re both holding our bodies.”

The actress, who portrays the role of Jean Tatlock in the historical film, added that she took it as an opportunity to learn how the cameras work and asked the technician, “Tell me, ‘what’s wrong with this camera?’”

“I’m like, ‘What’s going on with the shutter here, buddy?’” she remembered saying to the person trying to fix the issue.

The Black Widow actress also praised the entire crew of Oppenheimer, saying, “It was just crazy that every person on this set was so knowledgeable and ready to make this kind of movie that there was no dull moment. It was all amazing.”

“It felt like we were lucky to be there every second of the day,” Florence added.
