Billie Eilish was introduced by Kate McKinnon and Barbie director Greta Gerwig for her musical performance on Saturday Night Live.
McKinnon returned to SNL for the first time as a host following a hiatus of 18 months since she walked out of the cast after completing her ten-year tenure.
Meanwhile, Gerwig, 40, enjoyed a mini reunion of her summer blockbuster movie at the Studio 8H.
The comedian and the director announced the singer for her soulful performance, in a joyful embrace.
Both the announcers sported two piece suits; McKinnon opted for a red-colored suit and Gerwig donned a black one.
The 21-year-old singer graced the last episode of SNL for the year with the television debut of What Was I Made For?, which she directed and recorded for box office hit movie Barbie.
For her first performance, she appeared in a simple pink polo short, jeans and silver high top sneakers.
The backdrop during the performance nodded to a powerful montage scene featuring the personal collection of photos from Eilish.
The homage also included Saturday Night Live cast-members, Heidi Gardner, Chloe Fineman, Punkie Johnson, Ego Nwodim, Molly Kearney, Kate McKinnon, Maya Rudolph, Chloe Troast, Kristen Wiig, and Sarah Sherman.
For her second rendition, the Lovely songstress went for Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, a song by Judy Garland from the 1944 film Meet Me In St. Louis.
She wore a red sleeveless sweater over a white oversized shirt paired with jeans and white shoes for her the gig.
On stage Eilish was accompanied by her collaborator, Finneas, who is also her brother, and jazz bassist Christiam McBride in both performances.
Her last segment was closed by faux snowfall on the stage around Eilish and her fellows, Finneas, 26, and McBride.
