Mariah Carey surprised everyone with an unexpected Oh Santa performance with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.
Carey brought the magic of her Merry Christmas One & All! Tour to New York city with a gift.
On Saturday, December 9, she shared the stage with Grande, 30, and Hudson, 42, at the Madison Square Garden for a festive collaboration treat.
The trio performed their song live on the stage together for the first time ever.
Shortly after their electrifying rendition, Carey took to her social media account to share “moments” from the night and thank the two pop singers for joining her.
She posted a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, that reads, “Grateful to have the gorgeous and talented, the Christmas angels, JHud and Ari join me on stage tonight @thegarden for our song 'Oh Santa! (Remix)'."
The text was accompanied by a picture featuring Songbird Supreme, wearing a silver dazzling mini dress and performing in the middle of Ariana and Hudson.
Meanwhile, the Spotlight songstress in black sparkly dress adorned with furs and The Way hitmaker donning a scarlet off shoulder mini dress watched Carey singing.
In an interview with Billboard in December 2020 the We Belong Together crooner reflected on her decision to take on board Grande and Hudson for the festive collaboration.
She revealed she wanted to have “different vocal textures” in the song, “Because originally, I was blending with myself, which that’s kind of one of my favorite things, but it was cool to be able to work with the different vocal textures and play around with it and reimagine it.”
As a result, she decided to exchange verses and harmonies with the pop singers and “visually, in the special, it really does feel like a girl group moment. I think we all had a good time with it. That was the fun part about it.”
