Shakira is not scared to go above and beyond to complete a task.
The 46-year-old singer revealed, while donning a green mermaid tail costume, that there was a minor wardrobe malfunction during the filming of her Copa Vaca music video.
"The fish tank broke, the set began to flood, and they had to take me out of there. I couldn't go out because I had a mermaid tail, and I couldn't climb out," she told the Spanish-language news outlet, per Hola! USA.
The singer was forced to be lifted by a crane from the costume during the on-set incident because she had worn it the entire time while the music video was being shot.
"Every man for himself. Good thing it was just an anecdote, and I'm here to tell it," she added.
Before the music video's release, the singer revealed a comical behind-the-scenes footage from the filming that showed her being carried around the set and munching on a snack while donning the outfit. She jokingly said in the Instagram post's description. "Sushi anyone? or Shakimi?"
At the first Latin Women in Music gala in May, Shakira spoke about the recent changes in her life while winning the Billboard Woman of the Year award.
"This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I've felt more than ever — and very personally — what it is to be a woman," she said as she picked up the award.
"It's been a year where I've realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be," she added. "Because what woman hasn't at some time in her life forgotten herself because she's seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me more than once."
Additionally, Shakira is currently in legal difficulties in Spain. A Spanish court announced earlier this week that it has opened a new investigation into her in connection with alleged fraud on personal income tax and wealth tax in 2018, according to Reuters. Nearly ten months after Shakira was instructed to appear in court in the $13.9 million tax evasion case, the fresh probe came to light.
