Amid swirling rumours of a potential romance with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, Shakira was spotted in high spirits as she made her way to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday.

The 46-year-old songstress was caught on camera enthusiastically miming along to her latest track, Copa Vacia, while seated alongside her friend in the back of a car en route to the race track.

Shakira and her friend clasped the theme of her music video by using a mermaid filter, adding a whimsical touch to their journey.

With bubbles floating around and a mermaid's tail occasionally making an appearance behind her, it seemed as though the duo was submerged underwater, mirroring the singer's portrayal as a shackled mermaid in the music video.

Meanwhile, her rumoured love interest, Lewis Hamilton, gave an impressive performance at the race, securing a respectable third place at Silverstone.

The 38-year-old driver finished behind Lando Norris, who claimed second place, and Max Verstappen, who emerged victorious.

Pop sensation finds herself caught in a love triangle, with racing driver Lewis Hamilton and Tom Cruise vying for her attention.

Since her split from ex-partner Gerard Piqué last year, Shakira has been spotted with Lewis on multiple occasions, enjoying boat trips in Miami and sharing a meal in Barcelona after his Grand Prix success.

However, reports suggest that Tom Cruise's advances were seemingly rejected by the singer, denting his pride and leaving him surprised by Shakira's close bond with Lewis.

According to sources, Tom believed that he and Shakira had an undeniable chemistry and assumed they would be dating in no time.

The Mirror reports that the actor considered Lewis a friend and was taken aback by Shakira's apparent preference for the racing driver.
