Adele has had some negative consequences to her Las Vegas residency.
During the show on the weekend, the Hello singer revealed that she had contracted a fungal skin infection after performing under the hot lights at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Commonly known as jock itch, tinea cruris is a fungal infection of the skin, affecting the groin area i.e., the upper part of the thighs, buttocks, and lower parts of the abdomen.
She told the crowd, "[I am] so hot," adding "I need a towel, Jesus!"
The songstress went on to explain that she didn’t even know the skin condition "existed" before her doctors informed her that she had it.
"Obviously when I do my shows I wear Spanx and keep it all in and make it all fit me," she continued. "So it looks like I am an athlete basically, so I have to squirt it on myself. I don't know why the [expletive] I just told you that!"
Addressing her body acne, Adele added, "I have started weight lifting again like no-one's business. And I am absolutely loving it."
The Oscar winner, who returned to her Vegas residency after a three-month break since her last show in March, said that she was "gassed to be back."
"I was bored out of my brains. Somehow I missed you. It is a lovely change. I genuinely love doing these shows and it is the highlight of my week. I was desperate to get back. It is a whole new meaning," Adele added.
