John Cena came across an uncomfortable moment during an interview where he had to set boundaries with the hosts.

In conversation with the Pardon My Take podcast, the 48-year-old actor was unintentionally put on the spot to answer a weird personal question.

The host asked, “There were internet rumours that John Cena died from Covid. Was there a small part of you that just wanted to go along with the whole thing?”

The WWE champion was left speechless with the question, but professionally took control of the interview after he realized the hosts were poking fun at him.

John replied, “I know you guys are trying to have some fun. I just lost a close friend two days ago, so when I say something like that, it takes the smile off your face.”

He added that he understood what they were trying to do. The Argylle star switched to being his usual funny self, though his expression told a different story.

Netizens rushed to defend John for handling the situation honestly. One fan wrote, “This is the power of being authentic. It naturally sets a boundary.” Another well-wisher penned, “Excellent response for an absolutely terrible question.”

According to the fans, the person who passed away from COVID was John’s bus driver, who had been with him for a decade.

As of now, the Peacemaker lead has two upcoming films, Matchbox and Coyote Vs Acme, slated to release in 2026.

Does John Cena have children?

No, John Cena has expressed his wish not to have any children, a decision he discussed with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, who shares the same value.
