Tom Holland is reportedly “on the mend” following a scare on the set of his upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The 29-year-old actor was taken to hospital on September 19 after suffering a mild concussion during a stunt, prompting a brief pause in filming.
Fans can breathe easy, as Tom posted a reassuring update on Instagram after attending a gala for his family’s charity, The Brothers Trust, alongside fiancée and co-star Zendaya.
He revealed he had to leave the event early but insisted he was “feeling better” and thanked his parents for keeping the night running smoothly.
“What a night! Another huge success. The Brothers Trust means more to me than I could possibly say,” he wrote. “I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend.”
A source told The Sun that the accident “wasn’t as bad as people think”, explaining that a line snapped on a pull ring, leaving the Uncharted actor with a bump on his head.
Filming, originally due to resume in London last Thursday, has been paused for two weeks as a precaution, but the movie’s release date remains set for July 31, 2026.
Tom has previously teased that the new Spider-Man installment, which sees the return of the Euphoria actress as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned, will feel like a “breath of fresh air” reminiscent of his 2017 hit Spider-Man: Homecoming.
