Phil Collins is giving fans an update about his future with touring and live performances after being candid about health struggles.
The eight-time Grammy winner has been vocal about his medical issues in recent years, revealing that he suffers from Type 2 diabetes and complications from a 2007 spinal injury, and has also experienced kidney issues and undergone five operations on his knee.
In an interview with BBC Breakfast‘s Charlotte Gallagher the Genesis frontman stated that he “can’t really see it [performing live] happening, but I’m healthier now than I had been for quite a while.”
Phil disclosed that he was asked by the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame to celebrate his induction with a performance, to which he refused because he did not consider himself to be fit enough to take the gig and undergo rehearsals and training.
He added, “But whether I would go out again, I would contemplate, yeah. I mean, I’m constantly saying to myself, I’ve gotta go back down to my studio at home.”
The English actor noted that he has a lot of unfinished projects and lyrical ideas along with some finished projects that he wants to get back to.
