Jon Bon Jovi dishes on son Jake's young marriage to Millie Bobby Brown

Jon Bon Jovi defends his son Jake Bongiovi’s young-age marriage to Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

Emmy-nominated actor Millie Bobby Brown secretly married Jake in May 2024 when they were around 20. Many netizens showed love, but some of them raised eyebrows over their decision.

On Bunnie XO's Dumb Blonde podcast, Bon Jovi appeared as a guest and spoke in full support of his son’s and Brown’s decision.

"We blessed it because we get it, you know? They’re sorta mature beyond their years,” Bon Jovi said. “She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young.”

The couple, who recently adopted their first child this summer, reportedly fell in love in November 2021 after connecting through Instagram.

“She and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out,” he said.

On the other hand, the Enola Holmes actor previously revealed her parents' reaction during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March.

Brown mentioned that, as her parents also married when they were young, it wasn’t going against tradition for her or Bongiovi.

"We had really great role models growing up, so we didn't see anything different. We didn't get jaded by all the other stuff," she said.
