Katie Thurston says she’s ‘pissed’ over fake death rumours

Katie Thurston grew emotional as she addressed rumours of her passing in an Instagram story.

The Bachelorette alum remarked, “I literally wanted to take time away from social media, but then I was getting texts from people I don’t normally hear from, and then I got DMs from people, and everyone’s like, ‘Are you okay?’”

She shared pictures of the articles and posts announcing her death, as one on Facebook read, “Thurston has officially taken her last breath.”

Thurston continued in the video, “I’ve seen this article go around before, but something about tonight really f****** pisses me off. It’s triggering, and I try to report it. There’s just nothing I can do. I just feel helpless. I’m just so mad, so mad right now.”

Sending out a request to fans, she said, “If anyone works at Facebook [or] has any suggestion on what I can do please tell me.”

The rumors come amid the reality TV star’s journey with stage 4 breast cancer, which she has spoken about openly since receiving her diagnosis.

Most recently, she shared an update about the double mastectomy that she is scheduled to have in November.
