At the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, which took place last weekend, Dwayne Johnson reconnected with Brendan Fraser, who won the 2023 Oscar for his performance in The Mummy Returns.
Fans can't stop swooning over the adorable reunion clip that Dwayne, better known as The Rock, 50, posted on his Instagram account on Thursday.
For the uninitiated, The Rock and Fraser co-starred in the action flick The Mummy Returns from 2001, which also happened to be Dwayne's debut performance in a motion picture.
The Red Notice actor shared the video with the caption, "Very cool full circle moment here with my long time buddy Brendan Fraser and his sons."
"My very first film of my Hollywood career was THE MUMMY RETURNS, which Brendan was the star," he further penned.
"Lots of critics and cynics betting against me at that time, but Brendan welcomed me with open arms and was very supportive," he wrote, adding, "I never forget kind people."
The Jungle Cruise actor concluded his post, "Now years later, Brendan wins his Oscar for BEST ACTOR in “The Whale” and I went on to become famous for wearing a fanny pack."
“Congratulations, brother - enjoy your flowers.”
Love remarks for the legendary couple poured in from fans on the post. One online user declared that THE MUMMY was the greatest motion picture ever made in the history of mankind.
