With the release of their eagerly awaited BZRP Music Sessions #53 on Wednesday, Shakira and Bizarrap have given fans a gift.
The truth is that the latest instalment of the music sessions, which are well-known collaborations between Bizarrap and artists like Nicky Jam, Paulo Londra, Residente, and Snow Tha Product where they rap over an original beat made by the hitmaker, left fans unsure of what to anticipate.
The singer-songwriter is as direct as ever regarding her ex, Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, and doesn't mince words.
"A wolf like me doesn’t have time for novices like you/ I was too much for you, that’s why you’re now with someone more like yourself," she sings over a futuristic pop-electronica beat.
"You left me the in-laws as my neighbors, media outlets at my door and in debt with the Treasury./ You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger/ Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in."
Shakira is the latest musician to participate in one of Bizarrap's fervently streamed music sessions.
BZRP Music Sessions #52, his collaboration with the Spanish band Quevedo, resulted in both artists' debuts on the Billboard Hot 100. On YouTube right now, it has received more than 400 million views.
