Trailer: Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial movie adaptation

The infamous Depp vs. Heard trial is on its way to making its debut on the small screen at the end of this month.

Titled Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial, the Tubi original will chronicle the defamation case between A-list stars that spanned from April to June.

The film, primarily set in the courtroom, will also show some unseen footage and flashbacks leading to the explosive trial.

The six-week trial after Depp filed his $50 million defamation lawsuit against the Aquaman actress in March 2019 following the Washington Post op-ed she wrote which detailed how she was the victim of domestic violence.

Depp ultimately won the case when the jury unanimously sided with him and awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

The trailer promises to let fans "behind the most watched trial of the year...where the truth lies,” and is set to be released on September 30 on Tubi.
