Cameron Diaz recently spoke about her emotions regarding her on-screen comeback after a hiatus of eight years.

Guest-starring on The Tonight Show on September 16, Cameron Diaz was asked by host Jimmy Fallon about her role in director Seth Gordon’s upcoming action-comedy film Back in Action, opposite Jamie Foxx.

When asked whether she is nervous to star in the Netflix movie, the actress replied "I’m both. It’s a little bit of muscle memory, you know what I mean? I did that for so long, it’s kind of like the process, I just fell back into it. But it feels a little bit different."

The actress spoke about her co-star and said, "He’s so great, he’s so easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented. And just being able to work with him, it’ll be so much fun."

She continued, “I’m nervous about that because I have to listen to Jamie, because he will go. He’s like a racehorse,” she admitted. “I just want to be able to support him along the way.”

As per The Hollywood Reporter, In an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow back in 2020, Diaz who has a 2 year-old daughter with husband Benji Madden, explained that she'd lost sense of time when she was working regularly on films, for "12 hours a day."

Back then, the actress said, "For months on end, you have no time for anything else. I realized I handed off parts of my life to all these other people, and they took it."

Diaz's last role was Miss Hannigan in 2014’s musical adaptation, Annie. She is known for her role in The Mask, There's Something About Mary, and My Best Friend's Wedding.

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx have also appeared together in Annie and Any given Sunday. Back in Action will be their third film together.
