Zendaya debuts dramatic new hairstyle at premiere in Shanghai

Zendaya made a striking fashion statement at the Shanghai premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, debuting a dramatic new hairstyle while joining husband and co-star Tom Holland on the red carpet.

The actress arrived in an archival Atelier Versace couture gown featuring intricate web-like detailing and a daring thigh-high slit, continuing the Spider-Man-inspired fashion theme she has embraced throughout the film's global promotional tour.

She completed the look with sleek, straight hair and bold baby bangs, marking a notable change from her recent styles.

Zendaya accessorized with a spider-shaped brooch, sparkling jewelry and white heels, while Holland opted for a classic tailored suit as the couple posed together for photographers. 

According to Daily Mail, the pair, who have largely kept their relationship private, smiled for cameras and shared affectionate moments during the event.

The Shanghai appearance marks another stop on the worldwide press tour for the Marvel film, which reunites Holland and Zendaya on screen as Peter Parker and MJ.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is scheduled for release on July 31 and follows the events of 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Zendaya's promotional wardrobe has drawn widespread attention, with each appearance incorporating subtle nods to the Spider-Man universe through web motifs, vintage designs and themed accessories.
