Beyoncé and Jay-Z's luxurious East Hampton mansion became the scene of a dramatic police investigation after a man allegedly crashed through the property's security gates.
The music power couple's sprawling waterfront estate was reportedly damaged when a 63-year-old man drove at speed up the driveway before smashing into the closed entrance gates.
Fortunately, police say there is currently no evidence the incident was a deliberate attempt to target the superstar pair.
According to investigators, the driver appeared to be "confused" both at the scene and after his arrest.
Detectives revealed the man, who has no previous criminal record, made no threats and never mentioned Beyoncé, Jay-Z or anyone living at the property.
Police also disclosed the man had stopped at another nearby home before the crash, where he reportedly asked for a woman by name.
After being told she did not live there, he drove away, with the homeowner also believing he seemed disorientated.
The suspect was arrested before being taken to Stony Brook Hospital after complaining of pain.
Authorities impounded his vehicle and are continuing to investigate the incident, with criminal trespass and criminal mischief affidavits completed.
Detective Sergeant Jennifer Dunn said officers found no weapons, notes or evidence suggesting the driver even knew who owned the lavish seven-bedroom mansion, raising the possibility he may have been experiencing a medical issue.
The alarming incident comes as the 44-year-old singer and the 56-year-old rapper continue to dominate headlines following Jay-Z's star-studded three-night residency at New York's Yankee Stadium, which featured surprise appearances from Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, Rihanna, Eminem and Alicia Keys.
